WPD announces promotions of four staff members

Watertown Police also welcomed their newest Patrol Officer Zachary Cline, a 2021 LATC graduate.

The Watertown Police Department on Thursday, Oct. 3, held a ceremony to recognize four individuals on their promotions within the department.

The following individuals were recognized:

Jeremy Bjerke has been promoted to detective sergeant. He began working at the Watertown Police Dept. on March 1, 2011, as a patrol officer.  He has also held the positions of corporal and detective.

Martin Geier was promoted to detective. He began at the WPD on January 11, 2021, as a patrol officer. He has also held the position of police training officer.

Angie Schaefer was promoted to assistant 911 manger. She began her at the WPD on December 14, 2009, as a communications officer, and most recently held the position of lead communications officer.

Tina Wollan, who began at the WPD on May 7, 2012, as a communications officer, was promoted to lead communications officer.

Earlier this week, the Watertown Police Dept. welcomed its newest Patrol Officer Zachary Cline. Cline is a 2021 graduate of the Law Enforcement Program at Lake Area Technical College. He was sworn in by Third Judicial Circuit Court Judge Carmen Means.
