City crews on Monday began the annual Watertown Citywide Cleanup, picking up items left on boulevards by residents.
Front-end loaders were busy loading couches, mattresses, rolled carpet, office chairs, washers, mowers, grills, bikes, and other items onto large trucks bound for the Watertown Regional Landfill. In addition, the landfill is offering free self-haul dumping through May 2, 2026.
Crews will continue picking up items through Thursday, April 30, but will not return to areas already cleared.
