NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
ON A VARIANCE APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City of Watertown/Codington County Board of Adjustment on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 7:30 pm to consider in full or in part the following proposed Variance:
- A Variance request Pursuant to Section 5.11.1.b.iii Type B Manufactured Home. The applicant, Greg Smith, is requesting a variance to place a Type B Manufactured Home, older than 15 years, in accordance with Section 5.11.7, at the site of an existing farmstead. Property is owned by Marilyn Spurrell and located in a portion of SE1/4, Section 34-T117N-R53 West of the 5th P.M., Codington County, South Dakota.
All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Joint Board of Adjustment at said hearing. All application information, reports, and written comments will be posted at or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 on the planning and zoning page of the Codington County Website at: https://www.codington.org/zoning-office/. Written comments may be filed with the Zoning Officer at 1910 W. Kemp Avenue by noon on or before Friday, May 15, 2026.
