NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE JOINT BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the City of Watertown/Codington County Joint Board of Adjustment on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 7:30 pm to consider in full or in part the following Conditional Use Permit Application:

• A Conditional Use Permit request to Section 3.04.02.1 Airports and Airstrips. The applicants, Justin and Doug Brandriet, are requesting to construct a private airstrip on property located in N1/2 of NW1/4 less S440’ of N880’; and W1/2 of NE1/4 less S653’ of E1355’; and less S440’ of N880’ of W990’ all in Section 16-T117N-R52W, Codington County, South Dakota.

All persons interested therein may appear and be heard by the Board of Adjustment at said hearing. All application information, reports, and written comments will be posted at or before 4:30 pm on Friday, August 14, 2026 on the planning and zoning page of the Codington County website at: codington.sdcounty.gov. Written comments may be filed with the Zoning Officer at 1910 West Kemp Avenue on or before noon, Friday, August 14, 2026.
