NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE JOINT BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
ON A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City of Watertown/Codington County Joint Board of Adjustment on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 7:30 pm in the Codington County Extension Complex to consider in full or in part the following proposed Conditional Use Permit Application:

  • A Conditional Use Permit Pursuant to Section 3.04.02.33 Public facilities operated by government entity. The applicant, South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is constructing an air quality monitoring station on property located at Lot C1, SW1/4, Section 24-T117N-R53W, Codington County, South Dakota.

All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Joint Board of Adjustment at said hearing. All application information, reports, and written comments will be posted at or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 on the planning and zoning page of the Codington County Website at: https://www.codington.org/zoning-office/.  Written comments may be filed with the Zoning Officer at 1910 W. Kemp Avenue by noon on or before Friday, May 15, 2026.
