Douglas “Doug” Bork, age 69, of Milbank

Douglas “Doug” Bork, 69, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, February 21, 2025, at his home in Milbank, SD. Doug’s generous spirit will continue to touch lives as his wishes were to donate his body to USD Medical School for medical research.

A Celebration of Doug’s life will be scheduled for family and close friends.

Douglas “Doug” Dean Bork was born on March 23, 1955, in Madison, Minnesota, to Hollis and Evelyn (Erickson) Bork. He attended Grant-Deuel School and graduated in 1973. After completing his education, he worked on the family farm.

On January 17, 1981, Doug married Cindy (Skallerud) Bork in Madison, MN. Together, they were blessed with two children, Nathan and Kelly. Over the years, the family made their home in Marietta, MN, Revillo, SD, and Milbank, SD.

Doug had a passion for hunting, bowling, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed tinkering in his garage, always finding something to work on or fix.

He is survived by wife, Cindy Bork of Milbank, SD; his children: Nathan (Bridgette) Bork of Milbank, SD, and Kelly (Dustin) Kallhoff of Madison, MN; four grandchildren: Joe French, Morgean French, Parker Kallhoff, and Laney Kallhoff; brother, Bill Bork of Marietta, MN; sisters: Carolyn McLaughlin of Fargo, ND; Joan Bork of Watertown, SD; and Mary (Tom) Oldroyd of Cambridge, MN; sisters-in-law: Sheryl Skallerud of Mesa, AZ, and Linda (Greg) Coil of Canby, MN, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis and Evelyn Bork.
