I’d like to purchase a gift subscription for my loved one.
Watertown Current gift subscriptions make great gifts, and you can purchase them both online and in our office. Before you begin, make sure that your recipient isn’t already a subscriber. If your recipient is already subscribed, we can extend their subscription just contact the office. If they do NOT currently have a subscription, you can follow these instructions:
To gift online:
- Click the “Subscribe” button at the top of any page or click here.
- Choose “Gift Subscriptions” or click here to go directly to the Gift Subscription page.
- Select which plan you want to give as a gift and click the Subscribe Now button.
- The first screen will ask for YOUR information as the purchaser. If you have an account and are logged in, your info may populate here for you. If not, enter your contact information and click submit. This will create a user account so you can renew the subscription you are gifting when it renews. Make sure to click the “Is this a gift?” checkbox at the bottom.
- The next step is to enter your payment info. When this is done, a box will ask you for your name as the gift-er, the name of the recipient, and an email to send a redemption code to. If the recipient does not have an email address, you may wish to use a second email of your own to activate the new subscription for them or contact the office for help activating on behalf of the recipient.
Please contact our office if you have any issues. (605) 657-1797
I tried to reset my password on the website and I didn’t get a response email.
Thank you for subscribing! Many times, the reset emails land in a junk or spam folder in the email account. If you have already checked there and still did not get a reset email prompt, please contact the office so we can help you troubleshoot the issue. (605) 657-1797
I didn’t get my paper today.
Our print edition is estimated to be delivered to your designated address between Thursday and Saturday. Delivery is fully reliant on USPS to get it to your mailbox once it leaves our printer. If you live out of state, we expect it may take longer to reach you, especially during periods with heavy mail delivery or federal holidays. Holidays and USPS staffing can greatly affect the delivery time.
If you have not received your paper by the following Tuesday and you were subscribed to a print option prior to 5pm on the Monday prior to the mailing, call the office so that we can verify that your mailing address is correct and check to see if it was on the list for delivery that week. If it is confirmed that it was mailed out to you, we recommend following up with the post office or postal carrier.
If you are having your mail forwarded temporarily or permanently, please be aware that the post office does not forward publications.
I work for a state office and we are tax exempt. Can you invoice me for a subscription we cannot pay for this expense item online?
Thank you for your support! We can certainly do this for you! We’ll just need an email that we can send the subscription form and invoice to. Our bookkeeper will send an invoice and subscription form to you as soon as possible. You can pay the invoice online and print it for your records, or you can print the invoice and send back via mail. When you return the form, be sure to check the box that indicates that you are a tax-exempt entity and include documentation of exemption with your payment. We will send a confirmation email to you to let you know when your subscription is active. Keep an eye on your junk/spam folder, as it may be routed there depending on your email security settings. Let us know if you will need a W-9.

My spouse and I have two different email accounts. Can we set up an account for each of us to log in with our own email accounts?
Unfortunately, no. Each user account can only have one username and one password. The email account you designate will be the username when the account is created.
