Funeral Mass for Irene E. Renville ” Wahca Ohna Mani Win” Walks through flowers woman, 87 of Sisseton, SD will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. will be held at St. Kateri’s Hall, Sisseton, SD with Fr. Ken Lulf and Claude Kampeska officiating. Music will be provided by Tom Wilson Urn Bearers will be Dante Sharpfish, Tashaun Sharpfish, Jace Goodsell Jr., Aatreyo Sharpfish, and Zane Barse. Honorary Urn Bearer will be Lily Renville, Marcella Haug, Diane Flannery, Leslie Hewitt, Georgia Bird, Wanda Thompson, Gary Martenson, Delia Walker-Welch, Jessi Moen and Tammy Langager Hospice Nurses and Kayla Anderson IHS PHN. All-night wake service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 starting at 7:00 P.M. at St. Kateri’s Hall. Interment will be at a later date. The Cahill Funeral Chapel of Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Irene was born on December 17, 1937 in Sisseton, SD to Herbert and Florence (Titus) Renville. She was a lifelong member of St. (Catherine’s) Kateri Church. She worked as a cook most of her life, retiring from IHS at the age of 70. Irene loved to cook, shop, getting dressed up, going dancing, watching WWF Wrestling, rummaging and George Jones. Irene passed away on February 26, 2025 at home surrounded by her family.

Irene is survived by her children Theresa Wilson of Sisseton, SD, Jody Ramos of Sisseton, SD, Kyle Kampeska of Sisseton, SD, LaVoy T. Blackthunder of Sisseton, SD, Raquel Horn of Sisseton, SD, Emaliyah Renville of Sisseton, SD; 19 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother Doug Renville of Sisseton, SD; sister Marie Renville of Sisseton, SD; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Florence (Titus) Renville, children, Memory Haug, Victor Kampeska, Joelene Kampeska-Larson, Sheila Kampeska and Waylon Horne; maternal grandmother, Ellen LaBelle; paternal grandfather, Sam Renville; sister, Gertrude Boursaw; grandson, Isaiah Horne Sr.; great grandchildren, Andre Kampeska and Chloe Huff.
