NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
ON A VARIANCE APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City of Watertown/Codington County Board of Adjustment on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 7:30 pm to consider in full or in part the following proposed Variance:

  • A Variance request Pursuant to Section 3.04.03.7.b Area Regulations, Existing Farmstead Exemption. The applicant, Lore Ksenych, is requesting to retain building rights on a 10-acre parcel at the site of an existing farmstead. Property is located in SW1/4, SE1/4, SW1/4, Section 16-T116N-R53 West of the 5th P.M., Codington County, South Dakota.

All persons interested therein may appear and be heard before the Joint Board of Adjustment at said hearing. All application information, reports, and written comments will be posted at or before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, on the planning and zoning page of the Codington County Website at: https://www.codington.org/zoning-office/.  Written comments may be filed with the Zoning Officer at 1910 W. Kemp Avenue by noon on or before Friday, April 17, 2026.
