Watertown Mayor Ried Holien, Northeast Technical High School, and the Watertown Area Home Builders’ Association were all on hand Oct. 25 for a brief speech and the signing of a proclamation by the mayor declaring the month of October as “Careers in Construction Month.”

The proclamation was signed to increase public awareness of opportunities in the construction trades profession. It encourages employers, associations and schools to hold job fairs, discussion panels and other community events to promote careers in this field.
