NESD SHRM presenting Positive Workplace Environment program

The Northeast South Dakota Chapter of SHRM will present a Positive Workplace Environment program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 20 at 2nd Street Station, 15 Second St. SW, Watertown.

Mike Henke

The program will enable employers to gain perspectives on how to promote their company’s direction, help others overcome obstacles, and coach negative employees and those who are resistant to change.

The program will be led by Mike Henke, a national speaker who works with organizations throughout the country in the areas of leadership training, recruiting and retention, and creating a positive workplace environment.

Henke has created more 50 training programs, is a former SHRM chapter president, and has been selected to present at 10 SHRM state conferences and 40 SHRM chapters.

Attendees will hear strategies for how to best lead a positive environment while running a tight ship. He will explain why a “bad attitude” is often a performance issue, and how to utilize coaching and progressive discipline when applicable.

To attend, RSVP by Friday, March 14, on the NESD SHRM chapter website: http://nesd.shrm.org under the “Events & Education” tab. The program is free for NESD SHRM members and $40 for nonmembers.
