The Watertown Arrow basketball double header against the Brookings Bobcats proved to be the perfect opportunity for the fans to come together and support worthy causes on Friday night, Jan 31.
The Arrow Education Foundation hosted its annual Pizza Bash fundraising event in the high school lunchroom. The public was invited to enjoy Pizza Ranch before the games. Cris Ortmeier of the Foundation reported over 80 pizzas were ordered to satisfy the Arrow Fans. Pizza Ranch donated the pizza, with support of First Premier Bank. Hy-Vee donated cookies, and Coca-Cola donated beverages. Chips were donated by McKeever’s vending. First Premier employees also helped dish out the pizza to guests.

The goodwill – and the goodies – did not stop there, however. The Watertown High School student council took the opportunity to sell Cold Stone Creamery ice cream. A variety of flavors were available. Approximately $300 was raised for the Children’s Miracle Network.
