Tiffany Jolene Krause, born on April 23, 1990, passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Her journey, marked by determination and a joy for life, came to an end surrounded by those who loved her the most.
Tiffany was the beloved daughter of Laron and Jolene Krause and sister to Adam (Taylor) Krause and Brent (Lyndy) Krause. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews: Hayes, Eliza, Beckett, Leah, Braxton, and Benson. She is also survived by her grandmother Shirley Krause; her godmother Roxie Nothdurft; aunts and uncles Larry and Peggy Casanova, Mike and Regina Reynolds, Bruce and Rita Robison, and Nate and Karla Jacobson; a special friend, Jason Lee; as well as many dear friends and colleagues. Tiffany was preceded in death by her grandparents Jack and Irene Casanova and Edwin Krause; her aunt Darlene Casanova; and her uncle and aunt Bob and Marilee Casanova.
A graduate of Deuel School in 2008, Tiffany pursued higher education with passion. She attended Drake University before completing her undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University in 2012. Her thirst for adventure and knowledge, led her to Morocco for a semester abroad and culminated in earning a master’s degree in economics from Purdue University in 2017.
Tiffany’s career path reflected her intelligence, independence, and drive. It all began with her early roles at HD Electric, The Market, and Fleet Feet. Then onto becoming the Program Assistant for the 4-H Citizen Washington Focus in 2010. Tiffany excelled every step of the way, including internships with the National Pork Council, General Motors, and Caterpillar; all eventually leading her to the National Football League in New York City.
Her love for adventure knew no bounds—you could often find her skiing atop mountains or traveling to explore a new culture. One of her greatest passions of running led her to complete 6 marathons, including the Boston marathon in 2018.
Tiffany loved it all, but she loved her family and friends the most. No matter where she went, she came home with not only a new friend, but a lifelong friend. These friends became like a second family as she lived out her dream of living in NYC and traveling the world. She was intentional with those she loved. Whether it was a simple phone call to check in or booking yet another flight to come home and be with her family, she made sure others knew that she cared about them.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2022, Tiffany faced it with grace and resilience. Her journey took her from Sioux Falls to New York to Boston and finally to Arizona as she continued to live fully despite the challenges. She never lost that “fire” that many spoke of from when she was just a little girl. She fought and loved hard until her final days and we will forever cherish our time with her.
Until we see you again in heaven, we love you Tiffany.
With a heart for education and seeing others excel, a scholarship fund has been created upon her request. All memorials given will be added to the Tiffany Krause Memorial Scholarship fund.
