Volleyball comes up short in state tourney

Watertown Arrow Volleyball lost against the undefeated O’Gorman in three sets in the state tournament, but placed in the constellation bracket against Aberdeen and Roosevelt over the weekend.

The Arrows failed to place in the state tournament by losing in three sets 25-20, 25-23- and 25-19, but spirits remained high after the key match.

The Arrows went on to win against Aberdeen Central in three sets in the constellation bracket, but lost against Roosevelt 3-2.

Senior Grace Corey said she initially felt good about the match against O’Gorman but her and her teammates put all that they had on the court.

Looking ahead, Corey said that the incoming class of seniors should, “enjoy it while it last” as it goes by “real fast.”
