Watertown Cares, a charitable organization that provides temporary housing and case management to help clients find permanent housing, is the recipient of a $25,000 grant through First Interstate Bank’s Believe in Local program.
Watertown Cares is one of 40 nonprofits across First Interstate Bank’s footprint that will share a total of $1 million in funding.
Seven organizations in South Dakota received a $25,000 grant. Besides Watertown Cares, other groups receiving grants are Sioux Falls Cares of Sioux Falls, Feeding South Dakota of Sioux Falls, Rapid City and Pierre, Aspire of Aberdeen, Habitat for Humanity of Mitchell, A Bridge Between Us of Rapid City, and Artemis House of Spearfish.
Unlike other corporate giving programs, Believe in Local is driven by employees who live and work in the communities they serve. This year, First Interstate employees submitted more than 615 nominations, all grounded in personal stories and alignment with the bank’s philanthropic goals.
